TWIN FALLS, Idaho — A man from Twin Falls has been arrested following a traffic stop where Idaho State Police (ISP) found a "suspicious black tube" inside of his car. ISP said the 23-year-old man was charged with having a firearm while being a felon and booked into the Twin Falls County Jail. The Twin Falls Bomb Squad is investigating the device.

According to ISP the man was pulled over near Heyburn Avenue and Blue Lakes Boulevard on Sunday, Dec. 15 in the early morning for speeding in a 2014 Audi A7. While he was stopped, police found the device and blocked the area off to ensure safety. The Twin Falls Police Department then called the bomb squad who came and took the tube from the car for investigation.

ISP stated the initial investigation "determined there were suspicious contents inside the tube."

Police said possible charges are pending.
