Police: One suspect arrested in connection to Boise bank robbery off of State Street

The bank robbery also put Lowell Elementary School on a brief lockdown while police searched for the suspect.

Boise Police arrested a man in connection to a bank robbery near 16th Street and State Street.

28-year-old Ethan Prautt of Boise was arrested by Boise Police in the area of the robbery.

He was taken into custody without incident during a traffic stop when police saw that he matched the description of the suspect.

Prautt was booked into the Ada County Jail on Tuesday and charged with felony robbery.

Police responded to reports of the bank robbery at about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Pruatt entered the bank and gave a note to an employee demanding money. He did not display any weapons to bank employees. He then left on foot with an unknown amount of cash, police say.

Police then searched the area for the suspect and a vehicle possibly linked to him. Prautt was found near N. 32rd and State streets.

Lowell Elementary School was put under a brief lockdown as police searched the area for the suspect.

The lockdown only lasted about 30 minutes, according to Dan Hollar, a spokesperson for the Boise School District.

The robbery is under investigation by Boise Police.
