JEROME COUNTY, Idaho — Two people are dead from apparent gunshot wounds in Jerome County. According to the Jerome County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) deputies went to a home on Nov. 22 to investigate a shooting.
Sheriff George Oppedyk said when deputies arrived, they, "observed a body on the floor inside the home." Inside they found a dead woman and man.
"Both individuals appear to have been killed by gunshots, one being self-inflicted," Sheriff Oppedyk said.
JCSO stated there is no threat to the public and it was an isolated incident. The sheriff said the investigation is ongoing and names will not be released at this time.
