BOISE, Idaho — Suspect Brain G. Moreno, 23, was arraigned in court Monday for the alleged involvement in a deadly shooting in September 2022 that killed an innocent bystander, 23-year-old Joe Flores.
During his arraignment, the judge ordered Moreno to appear in district court on May 24 at 10 a.m., where he will be represented by a public defender. Moreno is facing charges of first-degree murder with a gang enhancement, as well as rioting with a gang enhancement.
On Friday, May 3, the Nampa Police Department said they arrested six local gang members who allegedly were involved in the shooting that killed Flores in the parking lot in front of Buffalo Wild Wings in Nampa.
On September 1, 2022, police found Flores near Buffalo Wild Wings with gunshot wounds. Officers and medical personnel performed lifesaving measures, but he died at the scene.
As KTVB previously reported, the family had been hoping for answers regarding their son's death.
NPD said the investigation is ongoing and that he could face additional charges.
