BOISE, Idaho — Police have arrested the suspect of a Canyon County shooting that left one man in critical condition in late March.
On Wednesday, the Canyon County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) stated in a news release they arrested Gabriel Francisco Meza, 34, around 5:30 p.m. after officers found him in a car at a parking lot near Meridian Road and E Central Drive. He was taken into custody without incident.
Meza was identified as the suspect in a shooting that occurred on March 27.
According to police, the incident happened around 7:15 a.m. when police responded to shots fired around south of Caldwell. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
CCSO states that Meza was booked into the Ada County Jail on his $1,000,000 warrant for aggravated battery. It also said he is expected to be arraigned at the Ada County Courthouse on Thursday before he's taken to the Canyon County Jail.
