Suspect caught 11 minutes after Boise convenience store robbed

BOISE, Idaho — A Kuna man is in the Ada County Jail charged with robbing a convenience store in downtown Boise Sunday afternoon.

Around 4 p.m., Boise Police officers were dispatched to a robbery at business on the 500 block of S. Capitol Boulevard. That’s just off of Myrtle Street.

The incident was captured on nearby video surveillance and officers were able to quickly distribute a photo of the suspect. Just 11 minutes after the robbery, an officer located a man matching the suspect’s description and 61-year-old Steven Brown was taken into custody.

Officers recovered cash stolen from the store, as well as the suspect’s discarded jacket and hat worn during the robbery.

Brown was booked into the county jail on a felony charge of robbery.
