BOISE -- One man is in custody after police say he robbed a Boise pharmacy for prescription painkillers Tuesday morning, just months after targeting another pharmacy in a similar crime.
Graydon Giles Wood, 41, is facing two felony counts of robbery.
Police say Wood struck a pharmacy at West Fairview Avenue and Five Mile Road at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, threatening employees and getting away with the prescription pills.
Officers tracked the suspect down nearby at Five Mile and Franklin roads, shutting down traffic between Franklin and the railroad tracks until they could take Wood into custody.
During their investigation, detectives found evidence linking Wood to an Oct. 30 robbery. In that case, the robber went into a pharmacy in the 8100 block of West Fairview Avenue, getting away with medication.
Police searched the area after the October robbery, but were unable to find the culprit, police say.
Wood has been booked into the Ada County Jail. He is due to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.
