Victim robbed at knifepoint on Boise State campus

The robbery happened in the parking lot of the stadium at about 9:45 p.m.

BOISE -- Police are searching for the suspect in an armed robbery at Boise State Thursday night.

The robbery happened in the parking lot of the stadium at about 9:45 p.m.

According to investigators, the robber walked up to the victim and spoke to them, then pulled out a knife and demanded money.

The victim handed over some cash, and the man left, police say. Officers searched the area, but could not find the suspect.

The robber is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 40 and 55, standing about 5'7" with a stocky build. The man had longer black and gray hair and a scar above his right eye.

The suspect wore a brown leather jacket with fur liner, baggy white cargo pants, and red shoes with white laces. Police say the man may go by the nickname "Markle" and may have recently traveled to Boise from Texas.

Anyone who spots the suspect or has any information about the robbery is urged to call dispatch at 208-377-6790 or 911 in an emergency situation.
