BOISE, Idaho — A woman was arrested in connection to the murder of 20-year-old Issac Bernal, which happened in November 2022 in Nampa.
The Canyon County Sheriff's Office told KTVB that 41-year-old Olivia Hernandez was arrested in Potter County, Texas, in connection to Bernal's murder. She was extradited to Idaho and is in police custody.
As previously reported on Nov. 26, 2022, at around 11:30 p.m., police were called to a location close to 17000 N. Pegram Way in Nampa regarding a shooting. According to a press release from Nampa Police Department, officers found a 20-year-old man who had been shot upon arrival.
Police stated officers performed medical aid, but the man died at the scene.
Days later, the Ada County Coroner's Office identified the man as Bernal, and he died from the gunshot wound.
According to the Canyon County Sheriff's Office, Hernandez is facing charges of aiding and abetting murder and accessory to felony harboring.
The case is still under investigation.
