NAMPA - The College of Western Idaho is looking to expand their Nampa campus with a Health Science Building, but they need the money to do it.

That's why voters will see a $39 million levy proposal on their ballots this November.

Mark Browning, the vice president of communication, says the funds would allow 2,500 more students to attend classes at the college, adding it would also help fill a need in our valley.

"The number one barrier to providing that health care? Skilled people, nurses, doctors, obviously we have a huge shortage, nurses and all of the skilled staff that support all of those functions that go into the heath care industry, it's a big gap and we see it widening every day,” Browning said.

The levy needs 55 percent approval from the voters to pass.
