NAMPA, Idaho -- Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa celebrated the completion of one of its biggest projects today with a dedication.
The multifunctional Learning Commons will house the library's book and magazine collections, group study rooms, computer workstations, and more. Academic advising and support services will also be located in the new building.
The new addition is meant to be a shared space for learning.
"When students come to this building for almost all of their academic needs, we can help them," said Sharon Bull, the Dean of Academic Services. "Whether they need a librarian to help them, they need a tutor, they have problems with their laptop, all of those things will happen in this building."
The Learning Commons should be in full use by next week and community members are invited to use the space as well.
