MCCALL — Idaho is now home to another Level 4 trauma center.
With this new Level 4 status, St. Luke's McCall can provide trauma life support and transportation to higher-level trauma centers when specialized care is needed.
St. Luke's McCall will also collaborate with local EMS teams to improve pre-hospital care.
According to St. Luke's McCall, nearly one-third of patients treated in their emergency department suffer a trauma-related accident or incident.
McCall is the first hospital in St. Luke's health system to receive a trauma designation.
There are three other Level 4 trauma centers in Idaho.
