BOISE, Idaho —
KTVB staff have earned four regional 2018 Edward R. Murrow Awards, a broadcast journalism achievement honoring Channel 7’s innovative digital 360-degree storytelling, 10 p.m. newscast, viral goat coverage and more.
The announcement was made Tuesday by the Radio Television Digital News Association.
KTVB competed against small-market television stations in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
The winning 2019 entries are:
Feature Reporting: Cupcakes for Compassion
Excellence in Innovation: Exploring Idaho 360
Excellence in Social Media: Goats Take Over a Boise Neighborhood
Newscast: KTVB News at 10
Regional winners move on to the national round of the competition.
"The KTVB team is dedicated to excellence and innovation in local journalism by telling the inspiring stories of our communities with the highest quality," said KTVB Director of Content Lisa Chavez. "We are extremely proud to be consistently recognized for that commitment with such a prestigious honor."

The winning 360-degree video entries for “Excellent in Video” and “Excellence in Innovation” also won a 2018 National Murrow award.
In 2017, KTVB was honored with four regional Murrow Awards for breaking news coverage: Table Rock Fire, excellence in social media: KTVB.COM, feature reporting: Dick's Chevron, and news series: The Corridor. The three-part investigation on the drug corridor also went on to win the national Edward R. Murrow Award.
