MOUNTAIN HOME -- A 47-year-old Mountain Home man was killed Tuesday morning in a three-car crash in Elmore County.

Idaho State Police say Chance McKeel was pulling out of a dairy in a 1997 Saturn SL on Simco Road just before 7 a.m. when crossed the center line and collided with a 1995 Ford Econoline van driven by 52-year-old Donald Clarke of Meridian. His car was then T-boned by a Mountain Home School District school bus driven by 23-year-old Patrick Coe.

Police say they don't know whether the first collision or the second killed McKeel. He died at the scene. Clarke, Coe and the six children aboard the school bus were not injured.

According to the Mountain Home School District, the bus was driving on its elementary school route when the wreck happened. All the children aboard have been released to their parents.

Simco Road was blocked for about three hours while police investigated the crash and crews cleared the scene.
