11th annual Scentsy Rock-a-Thon

People can rock their way to a big donation to Faces of Hope. Unfortunately, this year there are no fireworks due to air quality.

MERIDIAN, Idaho — The 11th annual Scentsy Rock-a-Thon is Friday, Sept. 6 at Scentsy Commons from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. This is an event that raises money for local nonprofits. This year people can rock their way to big donations to Faces of Hope. Unfortunately, this year the event will not have fireworks due to poor air quality.

"At Scentsy, we believe happy, healthy families build vibrant communities," said Kellie Floto, Scentsy's Director of Philanthropy and Community Relations. "We're so inspired by Faces of Hope, and we're excited to do our part to help provide a safe place of hope. Events like this are meant to spark something in the community to rally together to support a local cause and inspire them to get involved and contribute more than they take, so we can't wait to see the community come out and support such a great cause."

The Rock-a-Thon has 70 rocking chairs that people can sit in and rock. Scentsy donates $250 an hour per chair and will add up to $210,000 if all the chairs are filled. Proceeds go to the two Faces of Hope locations in the valley.

"We're humbled by Scentsy's generous support," said Paige Dinger, Executive Director of Faces of Hope. "Rock-a-Thon is such an impactful event in the Meridian community. This long-standing tradition sends the message that we can accomplish great things together. With Scentsy's help, we're bringing hope, healing, and empowerment closer to those who need it. This support allows us to extend our reach into West Ada County."

The event also has live music and food trucks. People can learn more here
