IDAHO, USA — People that prefer action over sitting around during the holidays have some options. 14 ski resorts across Idaho are open during the holidays.
In southwest Idaho, Brundage, Bogus Basin and Tamarack are open. Tamarack has a holiday dress up like Santa day on Monday and people who go to the "Santa Soiree" will get a free lift ticket.
In north Idaho, Lookout Pass, Schweitzer and Silver Mountain are open and people dressed as Santa can get a lift ticket at Lookout Pass for $20 on Saturday.
Sun Valley and Lost Trail Ski Area are open and in southern Idaho the Magic Mountain Ski Resort and Pomerelle Mountain Resort are both open for the holidays but closed on Christmas Day. Soldier Mountain will be open Saturday and have tickets at half price.
In eastern Idaho, Kelly Canyon and Grand Targhee are both open. In southeastern Idaho, Pebble Creek is open, but will be closed Christmas Day.
People can go to the resorts websites for more information.
