32-year-old Nyssa man dies in rollover crash

A Nyssa man died Thursday after his truck rolled over several times, eventually coming to a stop on it's top. Police said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

PAYETTE COUNTY, Idaho — A 32-year-old man from Nyssa, Oregon died in Payette County Thursday after being involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash.

Idaho State Police (ISP) said the man was driving a 2002 Ford F-250, headed south along Washoe Road at approximately 11:30 p.m. when his truck went off the road, swerved back onto the roadway, and then rolled, eventually coming to a stop on the vehicle's top.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of his injuries, according to ISP. Officials have not yet revealed revealed the name of the victim.

Police said the Nyssa man was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Washoe Road was blocked for approximately four hours to allow emergency responders to clean up and clear the scene.

Idaho State Police is investigating the crash.
