BOISE, Idaho — A longstanding Boise tradition is taking place this weekend at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. The 42nd annual Boise Greek Food Festival is pulling out all the stops to create a fun event for the whole family this weekend.
This year's festival kicks off on Friday, May 31 at 11 a.m. and goes until 9 p.m. The schedule stays the same for Saturday, with entertainment lined up for a day full of festivities.
The Greek Mediterranean Dancers will be taking the stage to showcase traditional Greek dances, with an opportunity for the community to join in on the fun after the performance. Take a chance at learning dances such as Hasapiko, Maleviziotiko and Zorba’s Dance.
As for food, there is a large menu of offerings, including gyros, souvlaki and spanakopita. Credit and debit cards are accepted at the festival.
Boise Greek Food Festival organizers remind visitors that pets are not allowed at the festival outside of certified service animals.
