BOISE, Idaho — The mysterious gold coin donor did it again!

The very generous and anonymous giver dropped another gold coin into a red kettle at the Walmart store in Ontario, Oregon.

The Salvation Army says the $20 gold coin from the year 1862 is worth $1,250.

That makes the total donation from this mysterious donor -- $2,638.

Major Robyn Bridgeo with the Salvation Army has a message to this big-hearted person who has given so much to those in need in just one week.

“Just want to say to who this mysterious person is, we love you, and thank you so much,” Bridgeo said. “We want to take it and use it to help as many people as we can this holiday season.”

The same donor dropped off an antique gold coin last week worth $300, and three coins on Monday worth $1,300.

All coins were delivered in envelopes in memory of family members who recently passed away.

Wednesday night's golden donation was found in a letter that simply said, “thank you for honoring my family.”
