KIMBERLY, Idaho — A 76-year-old man from Kimberly died Sunday in Twin Falls County when he failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by an oncoming vehicle, according to investigators.
Idaho State Police (ISP) said that at approximately 5:14 p.m. on June 2, the 76-year-old was riding his bicycle southbound along N 3400 E, when he ran a stop sign and was hit by a Hyundai Accent traveling westbound on E 3400 N.
The Kimberly man was wearing a helmet, however, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.
A 37-year-old man from Oakley was driving the Hyundai. He and his 24-year-old male passenger, from Guatemala, were uninjured in the crash.
ISP is investigating the incident.
