Man considered missing after not returning from hunting, says Valley County Sheriff

MCCALL, Idaho — An 80-year-old hunter is considered missing after he failed to return on time. 

On Nov. 3, around 5:30 p.m., Valley County Sheriff's Office dispatch center got a report of an overdue hunter. 

Michael Stoddard, 80, left Meridian on Friday, Nov. 1, to go hunting in the Landmark/Warm Lake areas and was due to return on Sunday, Nov. 3. He did not return.

Stoddard is driving a tan 2006 Dodge Dakota, with a Tonneau cover with personalized Idaho plates EEELK. Officials believe he is camping in a tent or in his vehicle. 

Valley County Sheriff's Office deputies have been searching, and Search and Rescue has been requested. 

Due to where he went missing, there is no cell phone activity for officials to follow.
