ONTARIO, Ore. — Update: As of 3:05 p.m. MT Friday, eastbound I-84 has reopened.
Eastbound lanes of traffic on Interstate 84 in eastern Oregon were closed Friday after 9 a.m. MT due to multiple crashes at mile markers 323 and 325, the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) reported.
The closure stretched from Exit 374 in Ontario, to Exit 304 in Baker City. An additional crash forced another closure at 2:30 p.m. MT Friday from Ontario to Exit 265, 4 miles east of La Grande.
ODOT said eastbound I-84 is now open from Exit 264 near La Grande, to Exit 374. Closures lasted most of the day Friday, with the interstate opening back up at 3:05 p.m. MT.
The Ontario City Police Department is urging travelers to be ready for winter driving conditions and have supplies in your vehicle for if you are ever caught in a delay.
