BOISE, Idaho — ACHD sent out a reminder for candidates and residents of Idaho that political campaign signs must be removed from the public right-of-way within 48 hours after an election.
This rule is part of the ACHD's temporary sign placement ordinance. For the 2023 election, ACHD states that signs must be removed by the end of the day on Thursday, Nov. 9.
The collecting of political signs after Election Day is the responsibility of the campaign, and ACHD will remove signs if they're not picked up. ACHD said the signs they will potentially collect by their crews will be brought to the ACHD Headquarters in Garden City, where owners can pick them up. Owners of the signs may be charged for the cost of removal.
Those who have signs can view the full policy here. For questions about sign placement, residents can contact ACHD at (208) 387-6100 or by using the District's TellUs form.
