ACHD celebrates winners of plow naming contest

The plows have been in rotation this winter, sporting the names Ashton Jeanty, Snotato, CTRL+SALT+Delete and The Big Leplowski.

GARDEN CITY, Idaho — The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) celebrated the winners of their "Name a Plow" contest on Wednesday

Winners were recognized by receiving awards in the auditorium, then the winners were brought to the Adams Maintenance Yard where the plows are housed. 

The winners names and the name they selected for the plow are included below:

  • Mike Walsh, Boise State Associate Athletic Director - Ashton Jeanty
  • Trevin Meredith, from Eagle - Snotato
  • Christina Straub, from Meridian  - CTRL+SALT+DELETE
  • Josh Crill, ACHD Project Inspector - The Big Leplowski

Each winner received a certificate, a $100 gift card, ACHD swag, and bragging rights, as the press release stated. 

There were more than 3,000 entries for the competition. Three of the final four were voted on by the public, and one was voted by ACHD employees.
