BOISE, Idaho — Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is undergoing more changes. On Thursday, Aug. 15 the ACHD announced that Thomas Otte will be the district's new deputy director of operations.
Otte is a Boise State University graduate, and has worked in the Treasure Valley with experience in government operations. In his new role, Otte will oversee three major departments: Environmental, Maintenance, and Traffic Operations.
Otte’s appointment is part of ACHD’s recent organizational changes, including the appointment of Ryan Head as the new ACHD director.
"I am thrilled to join the team at ACHD and contribute to the organization’s impressive efforts, and I look forward to collaborating with highly skilled professionals to enhance operations and continue serving the residents of Ada County," Otte said.
Otte recently served as the coordinator for the City of Meridian and, most recently, as deputy director of solid waste at the Ada County Landfill. In this role, he managed day-to-day operations at the expansive 2,500-acre site.
"Tom's extensive knowledge in operations and his experience managing diverse teams make him an excellent fit for this position," said ACHD Director Ryan Head. "We are excited to gain from his fresh perspective and confident that his leadership will propel us forward."
Otte's first day on the job at ACHD on Aug. 26.
