BOISE -- The Boise Rock School, along with Crooked Fence Brewing Company, held its monthly Adult Night on Thursday.
The event gives grownups a chance to get perform their their rock 'n roll fantasy and sample local craft beer.
Participants are broken up into small groups and paired with a Rock School teacher. At the end of the evening, the bands each perform one song in a mini Battle of the Bands competition.
Jared Goodpaster, co-founder of the Boise Rock School, said the event gives local artists a chance to showcase their talents.
"Performance is one of the huge reasons we play music, and we're providing that," Goodpaster said.
The event runs on the second Thursday of every month.
