Aging like a fine Weimaraner: All dogs over 1-year-old 50% off at Idaho Humane Society until the end of the month

Experts agree, you can teach old dog's new tricks. IHS may not have a Weimaraner, but there are a lot of very demure, very mature breeds available.

BOISE, Idaho — Puppies are cute, but they can be a lot of work. Sometimes adopting an older dog can be easier, not only for the owner, but also for the dog.

A plus for anyone looking for a slightly mature mutt, the Idaho Humane Society is offering any dog that is 1-year old or older at 50% off until Sept. 30.

"Our dedicated staff provides medical exams, revaccinations, spays/neuters, and microchipping to prepare them for the adoption floor. Then, volunteers and staff assist with enrichment, kennel cleaning, write-ups, photos, customer service matchmaking, and more. Come on down and meet these cuties! You might just leave with your new best friend," stated the nonprofit.
