Highway 16 reopens after semi-truck rollover

Highway 16 (Hwy-16) temporarily closed Tuesday between Deep Canyon Drive and Beacon Light Road in Eagle due to a semi-truck rollover crash.

EAGLE, Idaho — **Update 06/11/2024 at 2:41 p.m.:

The previously closed/blocked portion of Highway 16 in Eagle has reopened, according to the Idaho Transportation Department website.

As of noon on Tuesday, all lanes on Highway 16 (Hwy-16) between Deep Canyon Drive and Beacon Light Road in Eagle are closed due to a semi-truck rollover north of Beacon Light Road.

Eagle Fire Department stated the highway remained blocked by the wreckage and will reopen as soon as responders clear the scene of crash debris.

First responders ask that commuters avoid the area if possible and consider an alternative route.

Attention: Highway 16, between Beacon light and Deep Canyon, is closed both ways due to a Semi Rollover accident. Our crews are on-site, and the highway will remain closed until cleanup is complete.
