BOISE, Idaho — Alive After 5 will move to the Shrine Social Club on July 10 because of record-breaking temperatures.
The Downtown Boise Association made the decision to move the venue from the Grove Plaza after checking the heat index this morning. Jenn Hensley, executive director of the Downtown Boise Association said that guests can expect the same experience as usual, just indoors. All of the vendors will still be open and at the Shrine.
One nice addition with the venue change (other than the air conditioning) is The Counter being open. Usually Alive After 5 doesn't include food but you can now visit The Counter, a restaurant downstairs at the Shrine operated by City of Good. Every meal or snack purchased at The Counter helps fight food insecurity in Boise.
Boise Fire Department is also going to be pouring beer to support the Burnout Fund to help support families displaced by fires. They will also be selling and signing their 2025 Firefighter calendars.
Alive After 5 is a weekly concert series on Wednesdays that lasts until July 31. For July 10, guests can see a performance from Object Heavy. Object Heavy is a hard-hitting soul band out of Northern California. Tejano Outlaw will be opening for them. As the name suggests, the concert starts at 5 p.m.
