Amazon opens delivery station in Meridian

Company officials on Tuesday said the center has created 200 jobs and its delivery radius extends to Fruitland.

BOISE, Idaho — Online retail giant Amazon is expanding its presence in the Treasure Valley. On Tuesday afternoon, it held the grand opening of its delivery station in Meridian.

Jacob Abundis with Amazon told KTVB that the creation of the new building also brought 200 new jobs and will allow them to expand their radius, with delivery extending as far as Fruitland.

Abundis said it will also house programs for students to expand past Amazon and move forward to other careers.

"It's been a great opportunity for us to expand our business line, and on top of that, a really great thing is for us to have a community integration as well," Abundis said.

The Amazon DID3 warehouse is located at 2660 West Fred Smith Street in Meridian.
