BOISE, Idaho — Bursting at the seams with food, goods and music, the annual Art in the Park event kicks off Friday.

Boise Art Museum's largest community event and fundraiser, Art in the Park, is celebrating the 70th year of bringing art and culture to Boise.

Held in Julia Davis Park, there will be a variety of foods, shops and musicians starting Friday, Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. The event runs through the weekend, closing on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 5 p.m.

There will be roughly 248 artists, including 50 new artists and 106 Idaho artists, Boise Art Museum said.

A Children's Art Tent will also be set up, running Saturday, Sept. 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and again Sunday, Sept. 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There is no public parking in Julia Davis Park, as Art in the Park is a walk-in event. Those with disability placards will be able to park within the park. There will be shuttle services from Boise Towne Square Mall. Boise State and ParkBOI are offering special rates for the event on select days.
