GRANDJEAN, Idaho — State Highway 21 (SH-21) between Grandjean and Banner Summit will close Thursday, Feb. 29 due an increased risk of an avalanche occurring in the heavily avalanche-prone area.

All lanes of SH-21 will be closed between mile marker 93.7 and mile marker 105.5, between Grandjean and Banner Summit. The stretch of highway will remain closed until further notice.
