LOWMAN, Idaho — We're only weeks away from the end of winter, but it doesn't always feel like it - especially in the Idaho mountains.
But you're not the only one ready for summer. The Idaho Transportation Department posted before-and-after photos of Idaho 21 back during the summer months and now, as the road is covered in snow.
A major avalanche near Lowman sent a wall of snow across the highway, burying it 40 feet deep in some spots. Idaho 21 remains closed as crews work to remove the snow and ice.
