BOISE, Idaho — An oasis right inside Boise could be used to describe the Idaho Botanical Garden. For 40 years the garden has been delighting, and teaching, people about a variety of flora.
“For 40-years, the Idaho Botanical Garden has been a place for families and friends to enjoy nature and make memories,” said Erin Anderson, Executive Director of Idaho Botanical Garden. “As we look forward, we are excited to meet the needs of our growing community through the expansion of the Garden’s educational programming and cultivated spaces.”
This Saturday, June 15 from 1 to 3 p.m., the garden is celebrating its 40-year anniversary with the public. The event is free, and snacks and beverages will be served.
The garden's vision is "To be our region’s preferred space to gather and experience nature and to encourage advocacy in environmental stewardship."
Besides a plethora of plants, the garden also offers classes and has special events. People can learn more at the website.
