NAMPA -- Police are asking residents of a Nampa neighborhood to keep an eye out for a missing boa constrictor.
The 9-foot-long snake, named Trinity, was reported missing by its owner Saturday afternoon. The owner told police the snake was in a Plexiglas cage and was last seen at about 4 p.m. Friday.
When the owner returned to check on it Saturday, the snake was gone and there was a hole in the Plexiglas.
The home on Driftwood Lane, just off Roosevelt Avenue, and surrounding areas were searched, but the snake has not yet been found.
Police say the snake last ate about three weeks ago and that this particular snake normally eats once every two weeks.
Authorities warn people not to try and catch the snake if they see it. Instead, they ask that you keep an eye on it and call police.
