Boise crash injures motorcyclist

BOISE - A motorcyclist was badly injured Monday afternoon after colliding with a truck on Cole Road.

Boise police were investigating the crash, which was reported around 1:34 p.m.

Witnesses told officers that a male motorcyclist was northbound on Cole when he collided with a delivery truck turning east off Cole, near Cole's intersection with West Franklin Road.

The motorcyclist was transported to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise with what police called potentially life-threatening injuries.

He was wearing a helmet, police said.

Traffic was backed up at times, as both northbound lanes of traffic were blocked north of the Franklin Road intersection for a few hours after the crash.

Idaho Power Co. crews were also working on traffic signals around the intersection, which also adversely impacted traffic.
