BOISE, Idaho — Maximilian Myers, 26, died on the operating table Tuesday morning after being shot in the stomach, according to the Ada County Coroner's Office.
According to a news release from the Boise Police Department (BPD), officers responded to a shooting at an apartment located off of Lakeharbor Lane Tuesday, March 5, just after midnight.
Responding officers found a man shot in the stomach and provided care until paramedics arrived. The victim was identified Thursday as Myers.
Officers found the suspect outside of the apartment and arrested him after interviewing several people in the area of the shooting.
Javon Harmon, 24, from Dover, Delaware was taken to Ada County Jail on murder charges, according to BPD.
Officers also reported finding an unharmed woman and child inside of the apartment during their search, according to BPD.
Myers was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead in the operating room at approximately 2:30 a.m.
The Boise Police Department is investigating the shooting.
