BOISE, Idaho — Boise Mayor Lauren McLean proclaims April 2024 the Donate Life Month for the city. There will be an event on the Boise City Hall steps on Wednesday, April 10 at 9:00 a.m.
National Donate Life Month (NDLM) was started by Donate Life America. It is observed every year in April. The honorary month is to raise awareness about donation and get people to register as organ, tissue and eye donors.
At the event, Council President Pro Tem Meredith Stead will read the mayor's proclamation, followed by speakers, a flag raising and a moment of silence. Information will also be available on donor information.

Donate Life aims to increase the number of donated organs, eyes, and tissues available to save and heal lives, while developing a culture where donation is embraced as a fundamental human responsibility.
National Donate Life Month celebrates life and honors the gift of organ, eye, and tissue donation. National Donate Life Flag Raising Day aims to recognize this heroic act of service by city leaders across the country.
