Car crashes into power pole in Boise, police say outages expected

Boise Police said 27th Street will be closed for several hours Friday evening between Jordan Street and Davis Street due to the crash.

BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Police Department is on scene of a crash where a car hit a utility pole Friday evening.

Around 5:30 p.m. Friday, police on social media said officers responded to a crash on 27th Street that caused the power to cut out. Idaho Power is in the area working to restore power. 

27th Street will be closed between Jordan Street and Davis Street "for several hours" while officers investigate and clear the crash, Boise Police said.

Police said residents in the area should expect power outages. Residents can find Idaho Power's map with details on outages in the area by clicking here.
