BOISE, Idaho — Several members of Boise State University's Bronco Alert program received a notification Friday about evacuating the area around the Micron Center on campus.

Boise Police Department (BPD) released a statement reporting officers responded to the Micron Center on BSU's campus over "concerns of a hazardous material" inside one of the laboratories.

There was a partial evacuation of the lab area as a precaution, and BPD's Bomb Squad technicians responded to safely dispose of the material, BPD said.

It's unclear what the hazardous material was.

It's an ongoing incident and there is no threat to the public.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.
