BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Police Department (BPD) said they arrested a man following a reported sexual assault on Friday, Mar. 8. 25-year-old Alexander Rutledge of Boise was arrested Thursday, Mar. 14 and charged with rape and sexual assault.
"BPD would like to thank the public for the numerous tips that were called in. It was tips from the public that initially helped police locate the subject in the surveillance photos. He was arrested upon further investigation," a news release stated.
Police responded to a report of a rape at a motel on Elder Street on Mar. 8. The report stated that there was a female had been attacked in a room by the suspect who had a knife. The victim was able to fight and get away, was treated by Ada County Paramedics and taken to a local hospital.
