GARDEN CITY, Idaho — The Boise Rescue Mission is holding its annual Thanksgiving banquet event, one is in Nampa, the other in Garden City. The event also provides people in need with food boxes.

"Open to anyone in the community, these banquets will feed thousands of men, women, and children in the Treasure Valley a traditional Thanksgiving meal. People who register can also take home a holiday food box, complete with a turkey and all the trimmings to prepare a Thanksgiving meal at home," stated a news release.

The Nampa banquet is on Nov. 23 at the College Church of the Nazarene from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Garden City banquet is on Nov. 26 at the Vineyard Boise Christian Fellowship from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Anyone is welcome at the banquets but people need to register to get boxes and toy assistance. The Nampa registration has closed but people can still register for the Garden City event until Sunday, Nov. 24 at midnight by clicking here

"Our Thanksgiving Banquets give us a chance to connect with those in need and show them they're not alone. I'm deeply grateful to everyone in our community who gave to make this possible including our sponsors Albertsons, Combs Car Corral, and Limitless Homes & Construction. Thanks to the generosity of Vineyard Boise Christian Fellowship and College Church of the Nazarene, we can have a space to feed thousands of people and bring hope this holiday season," stated Rev. Bill Roscoe, President/CEO of the Rescue Mission.
