BOISE, Idaho — Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity announced Wednesday that the Ada County nonprofit organization is changing its name to Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity amid its expansion into Canyon County.
The name change comes as the organization expands into Canyon County in order to serve more families across the Treasure Valley, according to Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity. Officials said the rebrand is intended to unify Ada and Canyon counties and communicate a broader commitment to the Treasure Valley region.
"Our expansion into Canyon County is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, staff and community partners," said Janessa Chastain, CEO of Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity. "We are thrilled to extend our mission to more families in need and look forward to the positive impact we can make together."
As part of the transition, Habitat for Humanity's ReStores will also undergo name changes. The organization's goal is to provide affordable housing solutions and resources to the two counties.
