Boise's Concordia law school celebrates first graduating class

Eighteen students received their diplomas in a graduation ceremony at the Boise Center.
Concordia's College of Law celebrated its first graduating class on Saturday.

BOISE -- Concordia Univserity's College of Law celebrated its first graduating class on Saturday.

Eighteen students received their diplomas in a graduation ceremony at the Boise Center.

Dean of Concordia Law, Cathy Silak, says, "It opens professional doors for them. It's the fulfillment of a dream they started three years ago."

The school also presented an honorary doctorate of laws to former Idaho Governor Celcil Andrus.

U.S. Attorney for Idaho, Wendy Olson, was the ceremony's keynote speaker.
