IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — Law enforcement on Monday found a body in the Snake River near the Idaho Falls Power Plant in Idaho Falls.
The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office said at around 1 p.m., deputies, Idaho State Police, and Idaho Falls Fire responded to a report of a body floating in the water near the Broadway Bridge. Law enforcement found the body caught in debris near the power plant.
The victim was found dead, authorities said.
The sheriff's office said Idaho Falls Power staff were able to help law enforcement retrieve the body, which was "just above the power plant."
The identity of the victim has not been released.
The sheriff's office said it's working with the Bonneville County Corner to identify the victim's cause of death and their identity.
