Boys & Girls Club of Magic Valley receives over $2 million in funding

Congressman Mike Simpson helped request these funds through the Community Project Funding for the the fiscal year of 2025.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho — The Boys & Girls Club of Magic Valley is getting a makeover that will serve kids in the community of Jerome.

Over $2,865,039 was raised for the Club, with much of this funding coming through Mike Simpson's request of Community Project Funding (CPF) for the upcoming fiscal year of 2025. Every year, members of Congress are given an opportunity to fund up to 15 community projects. Simpson chose the Boys & Girls Club of Magic Valley for one of them.

"For over 30 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Magic Valley have supported kids and families by fostering a brighter future for Idaho's youth," stated Simpson. "As a longtime supporter of this organization, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of their efforts in education, leadership, and personal development programs. I am pleased to champion greater opportunities for Magic Valley youth by securing much-needed funding for this pivotal expansion project."

The funding is going towards the construction of a new youth development building that will be over 20,000 square feet in size and will serve up to 300 children per day. The building will consist of classrooms, a teen center, cafeteria, offices, and childcare services.

According to the press release "The center will address food insecurity in Jerome by providing meal services to youth throughout the community." It will also "serve teens through workforce development, community service, and access to higher education and leadership opportunities."
