One injured in shooting off Five Mile Road in Boise, suspect in custody

A 47-year-old Boise man was arrested and booked into Ada County Jail. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Police Department (BPD) said one person was injured Monday in connection to a shooting near N. Five Mile Road and W. Silver City Ct.

According to a news release, police responded to W. Silver City Ct. around 4:30 a.m. Monday to a reported shooting victim. Upon arrival, responders immediately began medical help on the man who was shot. He was then taken to an area hospital by Ada County Paramedics with life-threatening injuries.

After securing the scene, Boise Police said officers interviewed several people, identifying 47-year-old Aaron Black as a possible suspect. According to police, Black and the victim were talking loudly inside a house before the shooting happened. 

Black was taken to a local hospital to be cleared of any potential injuries, before being arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail.
