MERIDIAN, Idaho — Meridian police arrested 33-year-old Daniel Stratton of Caldwell Monday for a suspected burglary after he fled from police in his vehicle.
He was charged with three felony counts of burglary relating to burglaries occurring at Home Depot store locations in both Meridian and Boise, according to Meridian Police Department (MPD). Stratton also received a misdemeanor charge for eluding police.
On May 21, at around 6:20 p.m., MPD found Stratton in his vehicle in the area of East 5th Street and Idaho Street in Meridian and attempted to approach him before he fled a short distance, eventually coming to a stop and being arrested, according to police.
A news release from the department stated that Stratton is believed to have stolen lawn mowers with the intent to sell them online.
Stratton was booked into the Ada County Jail on his charges.
