BOISE, Idaho — Local artists around Idaho, put on your creative caps. An annual contest will choose new wildlife artwork to be used on Idaho license plates.
The Idaho Fish & Wildlife Foundation opened its 2024 Idaho Wildlife License Plate Contest, and participants could win $1000 if their artwork is chosen to become a new wildlife license plate.
The IFWF's website states that participants must be from Idaho and submit any of three original artworks of a bluebird, elk, or cutthroat trout. The size of the piece must be 5 and a half inches by 11 and a half inches (5 ½” x 11 ½).
A panel of judges will select a top 10 from the three animal artworks, and an IFWF judging committee will choose a finalist for each.
The IFWF's website states that a portion of the revenue from wildlife license plates helps fund departments in Idaho Fish and Game and others.
The deadline for submission is May 24, 2024.
For more information about the contest or how to submit, visit the IFWF's website here.
