Cash reward offered for info about illegal walleye stocking in Lake Cascade

An illegal walleye was caught in Lake Cascade earlier this week.

BOISE — The organization Citizens Against Poaching (CAP) is offering a cash reward for information regarding illegal walleye stocking in Lake Cascade.

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game says an angler was fishing for smallmouth bass and perch near Crown Point earlier this week and instead caught an adult walleye measuring more than 19 inches in length.

The fish was illegally stocked in the reservoir and is the first confirmed report of a walleye in Lake Cascade.
